Statement Drafter - Fully Remote

Gowing Law Solicitors are currently looking for a Statement Drafter to join our expanding Costs team.

Salary: Negotiable (depending on experience) plus potential bonus.

We are seeking a statement taker/drafter for our Housing Disrepair Division, based in the Northwest of England, to review files before conducting pre booked telephone interviews and drafting evidence.

The following skills are required for the role:

• Good IT skills
• Good English vocabulary and grammar
• Good telephone manner

The following skills would be preferable but not necessary if the candidate has other relevant experience:

• Post litigation experience of handling own caseload (not necessarily Housing Disrepair cases)
• Experience of Housing Disrepair Claims from a Claimant or Defendant perspective
• Completion, or currently undertaking, LPC or CILEX qualifications

Candidates will possess the following attributes:

The role is a full-time position, working 7 hours per day, from home, Monday to Friday. The hours will typically be 9.00 to 17.00, with an hour for lunch, however from time to time it may be necessary to work 11.00 to 19.00, with advance notice.
